New clothes =)

So now I´ve been home for a week and I had a good time.
We had a some cake for my grandfater who turned 90 years and he is still joking around with us, that´s nice to see!
I got my new Peak Performance clothes , so now I´m looking forward
to go for some freeskiing in my new stuff =) and also wear the casual clothes.
Always pleasant with new good looking things to wear!
I will show you some pics with the new clothes.

This saturday when we were taking Jonas parents out on a trip with the boat and I was driving, I saw something dark in the water and had to make way for it and then we sae that it was a seal, it was big and I got surprised cause I didn´t know they excisted so far in really close to mainland.. That made my day :-)

Tomorrow we take off to Mölltal for the annual photocamp, time to sleep now!

White

was the colour this morning when we came up to the mountain, it came some snow during the nigt and it was also foggy so a milky feeling you can say.
We could do some runs without the highest gear in, but it was a little sketchyso we went down pretty fast. It was chilly, the first “winter” day this season.

Saas Fee village from above

Our headcoach Fredrik did his coachcallange today, 5 deathlifts and then 10 burpes on that x 5.. Though one  to make but he did a good job!

Oh what a day

Yesterday was a though day, normally you get on the lift 7 o´clock in the morning and then you are on the top around 8 – 8,15 depending on if you catch the first gondola or not. The lightning had hit something on top of the mountain and put all power out so we were waiting for 2 hours on the middlestation to get up and then we trained 2 runs of DH, the fog came and went away all the time and it was a bit softer than the days before so I was not feeling as safe and powerfull as the days before…
After second run it started to hail so we put the nets down and started the long way down, they shouls close the whole mountain cause of the bad weather coming in so all people wanted to get down at the same time so we were standing 1.5h just to catch the first gondola down normally it taked maximum 15min. So it was a fight all the way down, hungry and tired with all the equipment and surrounding people. Finally we got lunch at 15!

Running intervalls on that in the afternoon and I sleept so good this night for 10 hours and now it´s a day off and I won´t do a thing more than necessary :-) Have a nice sunday!!

A tiger in mind

Now I´m back in Zermatt. We started up with DH the first day and since I struggled a bit with that last year, felt unsure by some races and trainings I was a bit nervous going from the top here with a jump an all. It turned out really good though, I felt strong and controlled on the skies. Nice feeling!

Yesterday I stuggled in GS, didn´t really get a good grip and it was preaty slick got harder and harder for each run. Turned out that one screw was loose in the binding.. Then it´s though to get a good grip.

Today was a really good day in SG I felt aggresive and tried to push the limits a bit more. Really enjoyed the skiing today! Thought afterwards that I felt lika a tiger, hungry to go fast and strong & smooth at the same time. Something to continue build on!

On GS start yesterday

SG start today, rollers on the flat is good for me, thats not my best but I´m getting smoother.

Windy on start.. cold as h… and we had to wait a lot cause the swiss had problems with the timing.

Eating lunch at Furri, the best is Rösti mit schinken und spiegel ei

I´m reading a lot in the gondola, it´s relaxing and makes the time go faster. Right now I´m reading Denise Rudberg, “ett litet snedsprång” it´s an elegant crime book from one of my favourite authors.

Country side!

I had a great time at home this week, pretty easy. Last week I did some phy sical tests and it turned out I´m in a good shape ;-) better VO2 and the strenght exercises went well some new personal records!!

We were out for dinner with the boat and it was totally silent and calm on the way home feelt like we were flying on the water.

Starbucks all the way to Gapern, had a nice weekend on the country side

Sunny day in the rocking chair from my grandfather

Dolce casa

Taking another cup of coffe and a hardbread sandwich while reading the newspaper, was sleeping until 9.30 and then laying in bed watching the news on tv for a while. Today will be a really easy day!

We flew over copenhagen yesteday and the plane was delayed to Stockholm so we had time to visit Joe & the juices. Nice place with good music, soft cauch and fresch juices.

I can recommend Joes AMG made of; Apple, Mint and ginger

Last day of skiing was saturday and then we finally could see Matterhorn without the “hat on”, often the clouds surrounding tha top of the mountain like a hat.

To sum the camp we had 3 days of GS and 3 days of SG and I feel like I´m in the game a good platform to stand on so it´s just to keep on working.
This week at home will contain some physical tests didn´t do them last time cause I catched a cold.

Adios amigos!

Altitude

The highest point on the slopes that you can reach, 3900 m

When we are traning on the glaciers in Saas Fee and Zermatt it´s high altitude both in the slope and were we are staying. Here in Zermatt on the top of the last lift it´s 3900m so you get pretty tires carying skies and stuff up there. In Saas Fee it´s around 3500m. This is why we do our job in the summer to really be able to push all runs during the day and then recover for the next day!
Today was a great SG day, sunny, good snow and we could make a lot of runs and it was really fun to ski :-)

Higher

speed today when we put on the SG skies. Me and Kajsa left Saas Fee for the neighbour village Zermatt. Speed is on the program and today we got a good day to start with. It came some snow during the night so it was really winter getting up there this morning, we took a lot of runs in the gates cause friiskiing was not so good. I felt comfortable on the skies and it was fun to do some more speedy turns than GS even though it was slow today.

Me and Kajsa had a nice reunion with our old coach Andy yesterday

Speedqueens

Good night, hope the clouds around Matterhorn will be away tomorrow so I can lay my eyes on it for a while in the morning!
